Filed: 2/15/17 Issued: 6/9/20 An absorbent article comprising a front region, a crotch region, and a back region, the absorbent article comprising: a first inner belt web; a first outer belt web; wherein the first inner and outer belt webs are joined to form a first belt; a second inner belt web; a second outer belt web; wherein the second inner and outer belt webs are joined to form a second belt; a first plurality of elastics disposed between the first inner belt web and the first outer belt web; a second plurality of elastics disposed between the second inner belt web and the second outer belt web; a center chassis having a first end and a second end, the center chassis comprising a topsheet and a backsheet and a core therebetween, the backsheet comprising a film and a nonwoven, the backsheet being shaped at side edges to form a transversely narrow portion of the backsheet at the crotch region versus transversely wide portions adjacent to and at the front and back regions; wherein the first belt is joined to a garment-facing side of the center chassis adjacent to the first end and the second belt is joined to the garment-facing side of the center chassis adjacent to the second end; wherein the first belt overlaps the first end and is joined to a wearer-facing surface of the center chassis; wherein the second belt overlaps the second end and is joined to the wearer-facing surface of the center chassis; wherein the first and second belts are joined to form a waist opening and two leg openings; wherein the center chassis comprises leg cuffs and wherein a center portion of the leg cuffs disposed in at least a portion of the crotch region extend laterally outboard of a side edge of the backsheet; and wherein at least a portion of the leg cuffs are joined to a wearer-facing surface of the topsheet and a wearer-facing surface of the backsheet film.
